So what happens here is I vaguely tell you what you can expect from this League of Happy dot com.
I believe that the health care system has to turn to prevention. My mentor mentioned to me that the cancer rates in Canada will rise 40% in the next 15 years. I realize that the baby boomer population is ageing and therefore impacting that stat. Nevertheless, I believe we need a whole system shift, one that looks to prevention as the first step.
Nutrition is what fuels our bodies. If we are feeding it dead food, our bodies won’t get the oxygen, nutrients, vitamins and minerals it needs to run optimally. On the other hand, if we feed our bodies raw vegetables and fruits that are packed with all the nutrients still intact, we are feeding our cells oxygen rich foods.
And it doesn’t take a lot really. It becomes simple to make healthier choices, ones that will have a lasting impact on your health and vitality. Our bodies are phenomenal organisms – always looking for a balance. Feeding it the right nutrients, keeping our minds stress-free and our spiritual selves fulfilled, true health is so possible.
With all of that said, League of Happy will strive to bring healthy nutritious recipes and informative posts in the realm of, well…nutrition, yoga and just general wellness that fits under that holistic umbrella. All this in hopes of creating a community of health-conscious people, where we can share our knowledge and help each other out.
I will also travel about and interview change makers in what I call Micro Interviews. Inspiring humans that are using holistic means to heal the human body. Nutritionist, chiropractors, osteopaths, massage therapists, TCM practitioners, yoga teachers, Pilates teachers and other inspiring peeps. I believe that we can learn a lot from other people’s stories, so I hope you enjoy reading them and learning from them. Drop me a line if you have a suggestion for an interview.
Thanks for being here.
